- Does the work present novel concepts/findings?
- Does it advance the field of tissue repair/wound healing?
- Is the research question important and relevant?
- Are the methods appropriate and well-described?
- Is the study design sound?
- Are statistical analyses rigorous and correct?
- Are controls adequate?
- Are figures/tables clear and support the conclusions?
- Are results interpreted appropriately?
- Are limitations acknowledged?
- Does the work have potential clinical applications?
- Are references comprehensive and current?
- Is prior work properly acknowledged?
- Does the discussion place findings in proper context?
- Abstract: Clear summary of key findings
- Introduction: Well-defined rationale and objectives
- Methods: Sufficient detail for replication
- Results: Logical presentation of data
- Discussion: Balanced interpretation of results
