Abstract:   (914 Views)
The emerging technology of laser based X-ray is becoming widespread all around the world. This technology now plays an important role in various aspects of our lives. Especially, its medical applications have been considerably crucial for humanbeing, recently. Therefore, easy access to the lased X-ray sources has become a controversial issue. Since, various methods and equepements are being employed to produce lased based X-ray, laser properties such as wavelength or energy level can be variable within a wide range. As a result, many medical applications from detection and diognosis to therapy and medication have been feasible. In this paper, these medical applications along with the technologies behind Lase based X-ray sources are investigated. Firstly, cons and pros of current laser sources and then advantages and limitations of the above mentioned applications are discussed. A considerable range of literatures involving leading edge researches in laser based X ray are reviewed to demonstrate prospect of the laser based X-ray application for those readers who belongs to the relevant fields such as medical physics, optics and lasers, nuclear medicine.
