Background: Two main Coronary arteries, Left and Right main coronaries, have duty of blood pumping to the heart muscles. Coronary artery disturbance lead to different disease that the most prevalent of them are myocardial instability and myocardial Infarction. The most important reasons for myocardial instability and infraction are coronary blockage and thrombus that can be caused by atherosclerosis in more than 90% cases. Atherosclerotic plaques is consist of cholesterol and calcium components. When the interior artery cross section decrease more than 75% when Ischemia could be happened. Death reason for one of third in advanced country and on of fourth in semi industrial countries is acute myocardial infarction. In acute myocardial infarction, up to 75%, more than one artery is under complete obstruction and narrowing. Laser angioplasty is new method that is very similar to balloon angioplasty method and can remove inadequacies of prior treatments. In this method, bunch of flexible optical fiber substitute by balloon catheter and delivered ultra violet pulses that delivered at tip of catheter, vaporize the residual plaques and opened the path. A lot of reports indicate that restenosis statistics increase after laser angioplasty by using ultraviolet pulse. The mean aim of this study is to estimate utilization probability of longer wavelength especially with ultrashort pulses for low fluence ablation. Therefore, this study evaluates range of laser parameters before any practical experiment in long wavelength angioplasty.
Material and Methods: In this paper, laser pulse matter interaction equation has been solved and fluence threshold extracted in different conditions for Atherosclerotic plaque. If the fluence threshold of long wavelength laser ablation is lower than used fluence in short wavelength (Excimer laser) the utilization of long wavelength is reasonable.  Also absorption coefficient calculated for different wavelength and time durations. 
Results: According to this research, It is purposed to use laser with 800-1064 nm wavelength with time duration shorter than 30 picosecond. Also the nonlinear absorption coefficient of tissue has been considered and the results showed that usage of this wavelength not only reduce in threshold fluence but also can increase nonlinear absorption coefficient. Other considerations relate to laser angioplasty in visible and long wavelength will be discussed in end of this article.
